The scope of activities
The scope of activities of the Slavic Studies Committee covers Slavic studies (linguistics, literary studies, folklore and cultural studies), archaeology, ethnology and the ancient history of the Slavs. The SSC conducts scientific and educational activities: it organizes regular scientific meetings and conferences and cooperates with various national and foreign institutions.
The SSC acts as the Polish National Committee for Cooperation with the International Committee of Slavists. In addition, the SSC serves as an advisory and expert body and prepares opinions and statements concerning the development of academic disciplines within its scope and other matters of social importance.
